  • Q: HOW DO YOU MAKE OUR WEDDING CEREMONY UNIQUE?
A: By listening and getting to know you both! I definitely do more than just the legal bits, (though if you want the legal bits only, I can do that too). If you want a personalised ceremony, I take the time to get to know you. I’m genuinely interested in your story and who you are as individuals and as a couple. I want to learn about you and your vision for your ceremony. I’ll then write and deliver an individualised ceremony that will hopefully make you and your guests feel like it was absolutely perfect!
  • Q: I LIKE THE LOOK OF YOUR PROFILE. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
A: Simply fill in the contact form here on my website! Or you can email at angelaclloyd@hotmail.com or call me on 0417517738, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I offer no-obligation consultations. Usually I meet prospective couples via Zoom, or in a coffee shop or a pub, and at this meeting I’ll go through the whole legal process of marriage and explain what a marriage celebrant does. We’ll discuss your ideas for your ceremony, and hopefully I’ll give you some ideas which you may not have thought about. If you’re going for the full Bells & Whistles package (where your ceremony is written specifically for you), I’ll ask you questions about the two of you to get to know you a bit better. A consultation can take up to an hour. Once you decide to book me you pay a $250 booking fee which locks me in for your Wedding and I start preparing your ceremony.
  • Q: HOW MUCH NOTICE DO WE NEED TO GIVE YOU BEFORE WE GET MARRIED?
A: A minimum of 1 month as the ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ must be completed greater than 1 month before the ceremony unless a valid reason is granted by the court.
  • Q: WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR MY WEDDING?
A: Absolutely! I love to travel – it’s a big part of my job. And it’s one of the (many) great things about this job is the opportunity to see more of this world. I’m happy to travel, and travel expenses can be negotiated on an individual basis.
  • Q: TELL ME A BIT ABOUT YOU.
A: I am a happy soul. I love being a Mum & wife and spending time with our large extended family (I have 10 Brother In Laws, 9 Sister in Laws and 38 nieces and nephews (& counting!). I was a Primary Teacher for 17 years and kids make me happy. I love living near the coast, walking, being in and on the water, riding my bike and listening to groovy music. Chilling with friends over a glass of bubbles is one of my favourite things. Life is good.
  • Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE SICK ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING?
A: I am connected to a fantastic group called the Celebrant Society whom I can call upon if need be and I’m also connected to dozens of local celebrants. My many fabulous Celebrant friends all help each other out if there’s ever any emergencies or issues which prevent one of us from performing a ceremony. If this does happen, I would support you to find a replacement celebrant, and would transfer my fee to the celebrant directly.
  • Q: DO YOU BOOK MORE THAN ONE WEDDING A DAY?
A: Generally speaking, I only book one ceremony a day. The very rare exception to this is if there’s plenty of time between ceremonies, eg: 10am and 3pm, and both ceremonies are in locations within easy reach.
  • Q: DO YOU HAVE A PA SYSTEM THAT YOU USE?
A: Yes, I do. I have a wireless BOSE PA system and a fantastic mic. You can also bluetooth music through my PA during the ceremony.
  • Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I MEET YOU FOR A NO-OBLIGATION CHAT, AND I DON’T WANT TO GO AHEAD?
A: That’s no problem. It’s important to me that you have the right celebrant for you. There’s lots of us out there, so there’s bound to be the right person for you.
  • Q: DO YOU DO ELOPEMENTS?
A: I sure do! It’s becoming a more common request in recent years, and I totally understand why you might want to marry in this way.
  • Q: WHAT WILL YOU WEAR ON OUR BIG DAY?
A: I love this question! I include you in this as I want to fit in with your day. Bright and bold.. sounds great to me! Neutral and soft… wonderful! Frocks, jumpsuits, pants, skirts…patterns, plains… I’ve got the outfit! If not I’ll get it (cause I LOVE shopping for Wedding outfits!).
